Welcome to the Southampton Community Band. Our mission is to provide musical enjoyment, educational opportunities, and participation in a concert band setting that is available to all interested musicians. We strive to enrich the cultural environment, foster a responsive knowledge of band literature, and to encourage the development of musicians of any age, gender, race, or ethnicity, through mentoring, rehearsals, and guidance to promote a spirit of community involvement that will ensure a lasting fine arts legacy.
The Southampton Community Band:
- is a volunteer organization.
- does not require auditions to be a playing member.
- welcomes musicians of varying degrees of playing experience.
- holds weekly rehearsals between September and May.
- performs four subscription concerts per year.
- has many members who play in other musical organizations.
